Competitive dance competes at Xavier

The Wolf Pack dance team was at Xavier this week ahead of two Loyola-hosted events later this month

NEW ORLEANS – The Loyola University New Orleans competitive dance team took part in the Xavier-hosted Battle in the Big Easy competition on Friday and Saturday. The Wolf Pack competed in a dual against Concordia (Mich.) on Friday before a group competition on Saturday with five other opponents.

On Friday, Concordia beat Loyola in the dual 78.33-61.95, but the team improved its score on Saturday in the group event. The Wolf Pack scored a 65.13 to place fifth out of six teams. Cumberlands won the battle with an 80.53, then Concordia (77.1), Dillard (70.7) and Our Lady of the Lake (68.8) followed before Loyola. Montreat placed last with a 47.03 score.

Loyola is next set to host two days of competition on Friday and Saturday, Feb. 24-25, in The Den. First, it'll host the Wolf Pack Invitational on Friday before the NAIA Qualifier on Saturday.
