NEW ORLEANS – The College Sports Communicators announced its annual list of Academic All-District honorees, selecting Loyola's Brittany Cooper and Rebecca LaCour to the list of NAIA student-athletes. Cooper and LaCour were vital parts on the volleyball court this season for the Wolf Pack, and their efforts in the classroom put the two in a position to be honored by the CSC.

Both Cooper and LaCour are now eligible for the Academic All-America distinction, which will be voted on by the members of CSC.

Cooper posted a 3.972 GPA last academic year as a Mass Communications major and marketing minor, while LaCour, who is in nursing school, had a 3.897 GPA.

Cooper had 224 total kills in 34 matches this season (2.02 kills per set), which was fourth on the team, reaching the 1,000-kill milestone this season as well. She also recorded 302 digs (2.72 per set), 59 service aces and 26 total blocks during her senior year. LaCour split time as the team's setter in Loyola 6-2 system, racking up 431 assists in 30 matches (4.4 per set), adding 22 service aces and 145 digs.

Loyola finished the season 23-12 overall, matching last season's win total, and the team won 14 Southern States Athletic Conference matches, which is the most ever from the program.
