MONTGOMERY, Ala. – The Loyola University New Orleans women's basketball team continued their road trip with a Thursday evening matchup at Faulkner, defeating the Eagles 85-66 in the Tine Davis Gymnasium.

Loyola (19-5, 13-2) got things going on the offensive end early, jumping out to a 7-0 advantage before Faulkner (12-11, 5-9) was able to answer with a three-pointer. After the Pack stepped out in front 10-3 on Kaila Anthony's second make from three within the first two minutes of play, the Eagles made it a one point game, as the Pack led 14-13 with just under four minutes remaining in the first quarter. Loyola would end the period on an 8-2 run, leading 22-15 at the first break.

Each team traded scores throughout the second period, with both the Wolf Pack and Eagles scoring 20 points or more. As the buzzer sounded for halftime however, Loyola would find themselves out in front with a comfortable 10-point advantage, 45-35.

The third quarter was all Wolf Pack, with Paige Franckiewicz knocking down back-to-back threes midway through to make it a 62-43 game. Loyola would grab their largest lead of the night near the end of the period, with Anthony sinking another ball from beyond the arc to put Kellie Kennedy's team in front by 28.

Entering the final 10 minutes of play with a 71-48 lead, the Wolf Pack maintained their advantage to grab their 19th victory of the season and their eighth consecutive win.
