Wolf Pack picks up non-conference win, but drops a SSAC match

MONTGOMERY, Ala.. – The Loyola Wolf Pack's three-match weekend continued Saturday with two more, as they took on conference rival Faulkner University and non-conference foe Talladega College.

Loyola started the day with a 3-0 (25-17, 25-20, 25-23) loss to Faulkner, the host school, before sweeping Talladega (25-15, 25-18, 25-11) to cap off the day.

The Wolf Pack is now 12-14 overall, and with the loss to Faulkner to start the day, they drop to 5-4 in Southern States Athletic Conference play.

Loyola is in the midst of playing nine games away from The Den, and it'll continue with a road match against William Carey Saturday, Oct. 19, at 1 p.m. Even though the Lady Crusaders are an SSAC opponent, the match will not count in the conference standings.
