Box Score Loyola returns home for the final two matches of the regular season this weekend
MOBILE, Ala. – Playing its final road match of the season, the Loyola University New Orleans volleyball team fell 3-0 to NCAA Division-II school Spring Hill College on Wednesday evening.
The home Badgers (27-3) opened the match with a 25-10 win in the first set, but the Wolf Pack (14-19) came alive in the second set. The Pack forced a Spring Hill timeout late in the set and were down just one point at 21-20 after the break, though the Badgers would pull away to take the set 25-21. The final set would also go Spring Hill's way, as they won the set 25-14 to clinch the match 3-0.
The Wolf Pack will return home to New Orleans for the final two matches of the regular season. On Friday, Dillard comes to The Den for a 5:30 p.m. match, followed by a 1 p.m. game with William Carey on Saturday for Senior Day.
"Spring Hill is a talented, well coached team and we knew this would be a challenge for us. We settled down and found more rhythm in the second set but just made a few too many unforced errors towards the end. It was good to see that we could go toe-to-toe with a strong team"
