Box Score In their 22nd match on the road this season, the Wolf Pack are unable to steal the win
MCKENZIE, Tenn. – The Loyola University New Orleans volleyball team took to the road yet again this season, facing Bethel University and falling 3-0 Friday night at the Crisp Arena.
In the first set the Wolf Pack (13-14, 3-8) were unable to take the lead, as the Wildcats (14-5, 7-2) held on to take a 25-16 first set. In set number two, Loyola trailed by as much as six, but would climb back and tie it at 20-20. However, after reaching 22-all, the home team would take the next three points to take a 2-0 advantage. The third set was similar to the first, as Bethel held an advantage throughout the set and would claim the match win three sets to none.
The Pack will remain in Tennessee tomorrow, traveling to Pulaski where they will take on Martin Methodist at 2 p.m.
"Tonight was rough for us. We could blame it on the long bus ride, but I think we just need to play more mindfully, with intention, and remember that we're all in this fight together. Champagne and Jordan did well for us on the attacking side, but we were lacking a strong blocking presence against a team that hits well. Tomorrow is another important match that we'll look to make changes in and come out strong."

Champagne Cunningham posted a 0.571 attack percentage tonight, marking the seventh match this season she's finished with a percentage of 0.500 or higher.
Her current career attack percentage of 0.226 ranks as the 10th-best in school history.
The conference's leader in service aces, senior Maddie Huekels added two more to her season-total tonight, giving her 51 on the year.
Freshman Jordan Bernard posted 10 kills tonight, and has hit double-digits in kills in five of her last six matches played.
Her 2.34 kills per set rank third on the team.
