Box Score Wolf Pack (7-11) welcome Faulkner University to First NBC Court for a match on Thursday at 6:00 p.m.
Coming off a 0-3 defeat at the hands of (RV) Coastal Georgia yesterday, the Loyola University New Orleans volleyball team headed to Macon on Sunday afternoon to cap off their Georgia road trip with a match against Middle Georgia State University.
Powered by a career-high 20 kills from Allison Hartmann (SO/Slidell, La.), the Wolf Pack defeated the Knights 3-1 (20-25,25-14,15-25,21-25) on Sunday to leave Georgia with a 2-1 record in the three weekend matches.
With the victory, Loyola improves to 7-11 overall and 2-3 in Southern States Athletic Conference (SSAC) matches. Conversely, Middle Georgia falls to 6-8 on the year and 1-4 in conference play following the loss.
Sunday proved to be a record-breaking afternoon for the Wolf Pack, with Hartmann (20 kills) and Katie Philippi (SR/Metairie, La.) (20 digs) each setting personal bests against the Knights.
Maddie Huekels (SO/Dyer, In.) handed out a team-high 25 assists to go along with nine digs, while Sunni Blanchard (FR/Pierre Part, La.) chipped in 17 assists in the win.
Brooklyn Berrington led Middle Georgia with 14 kills in the loss and Savannah Grove dished out a match-high 40 helpers on Sunday afternoon.
The Wolf Pack return home on Thursday, Sep. 22, to take on Faulkner University at 6:00 p.m.
