(New Orleans, La.) Loyola University New Orleans volleyball (10-8, 3-2 SSAC) capped off a perfect week with their fifth-straight win over conference opponent Brenau University. Earlier this week the Wolf Pack defeated Alcorn State University, Tougaloo College and Dillard University before putting the Golden Tigers (5-9, 0-5 SSAC) away in four sets (25-20, 25-20, 23-25, 25-22).
The Wolf Pack's offensive attack was headlined by a trio of Pack members, with Senior Eva Allen leading the way with 16 kills on a .300 hitting percentage and also adding 11 digs. Fellow Senior Wren Oversech aided the offensive effort with 10 kills of her own, while MB Allison Hartmann recorded 11. Senior Breanna Stevenson once again was the rock for the Pack defensively. The defensive specialist from Desoto, Texas registered a team-high 12 digs, followed closely by Maddie Huekels (10), Anna Brununi (9) and Joi Scioneaux (7). Maddie Huekels and Lindsay Ulfig continued to set up the Pack's offense by dishing out 27 and 19 assists, respectively.
The Pack will fight to keep their win streak alive when they welcome the University of Mobile to the Crescent City on Tuesday, September 29 at 6:00 pm. The Rams (14-2, 4-1 SSAC) recently knocked off Brenau University on Friday.
