(Mt. Vernon, Ga.) Loyola University New Orleans volleyball dropped the Brewton-Parker College Barons (4-10, 0-4 SSAC) in three straight sets this afternoon 25-19, 25-19, 25-18, to earn their first road-conference win.
Senior Eva Allen lead both the offensive and defensive fronts, tallying 8 kills on a .235 hitting percentage and registering 11 digs. Freshman Jordan Davis assisted the offensive attack with 5 kills on a .231 hitting percentage. Freshman Maddie Huekels set up the Wolf Pack offense with 16 assists and 4 service aces.
Freshman Destinee Benton led the Barons on offense with seven kills. Junior Tasha Taylor led the defense with 9 digs, while freshman setter Veronica Sales contributed 11 assists on the day.
This afternoon's victory wraps up The Wolf Pack's first road-conference series as they went 1-1 in Georgia, improving to (6-8, 2-2 SSAC). The Pack will stay out on the road as they travel to Mississippi for a doubleheader on September 22, where they will square off against Alcorn State University and Tougaloo College.
