Loyola University New Orleans baseball fell to SSAC opponent Auburn Montgomery in both game of a doubleheader today, losing the first game 9-0 and the second game 13-0.

(Montgomery, Ala.) Loyola University New Orleans baseball fell to SSAC opponent Auburn Montgomery in both game of a doubleheader today, losing the first game 9-0 and the second game 13-0.
Loyola (12-12, 3-9 SSAC) was unable to get anything going offensively against Warhawks starting pitchers Cole Goodwin and Raymond Moody. Goodwin threw a one-hit, zero walks shutout in the first game while Moody allowed just four hits in five shutout innings in the second game.
In the first game, Rawlings Elam hit a single up the middle to start the game for the Pack, but Goodwin completely shut down Loyola the rest of the game, retiring 21 straight batters.
Kevin Lindsey took the loss for Loyola, allowing 11 hits and eight runs (four earned) in five innings of work.
Dalton Kelly was 3-3 with two runs for the Warhawks (15-6, 9-0 SSAC), while Josh Abritton and Tremayne Hardin had two hits each.
In the second game, Loyola managed to get runners on base in all seven innings, but stranded every single one of them. In total, the Pack left 10 on base. John Nicholson was 2-4 while Jordan Wilson, Andrew Fournet, Luis Anguizola and Britt Pellegrin added one hit each.
Dylan Gregoire suffered the loss for the Wolf Pack, giving up nine earned runs in two innings pitched.
Kelly was 3-4 with a homerun and three RBI in the second game. Matt Miller added two hits and three RBI.
The Wolf Pack will be back in action on Tuesday, March 10 when they host Blackburn College at Segnette Field at 6 p.m.
