(New Orleans, La.) Loyola University New Orleans volleyball fell to city rival Xavier University (7-2) tonight at the Convocation Center in three sets 21-25, 19-25, 25-27.
Junior Eva Allen compiled 16 kills, leading the Pack on offense with a .375 hitting percentage. Senior Lauren Brand added to the offensive effort, tallying eight kills on the night. Fellow senior Becca Burnett led the defense with 10 digs, while sophomore Daniela Leal contributed eight. Leal also accumulated 36 assists on the night.
Senior outside hitter Chinedu Echebelem led the Gold Nuggets on offense with 10 kills, while junior libero Darian Harris drove the defense with 17 digs. Junior setter Franziska Pirkl aided the offensive effort with 38 assists.
The Pack (6-10) will take the week off before traveling to Jackson, Miss. to face conference opponent Belhaven University on Friday, October 3.
