(New Orleans, La.) Loyola University New Orleans volleyball defeated conference foe Dalton State College (5-4, 1-3 SSAC) in five exhilarating sets tonight 25-27, 25-17, 30-28, 22-25, 15-12.
Senior Lauren Brand led the Pack on offense, tallying 13 kills, and freshman Keyanna Gayden added 10. Sophomore setter Daniela Leal contributed 36 assists in the win. Senior Becca Burnett drove the defensive effort with 15 digs, and Leal added 13.
Junior Kianna Delaney, senior Alyne Bianchi, freshman Anna Metzler and sophomore Savannah Nelson led the Roadrunners on offense, each with 13 digs on the night. Junior setter Michala Askew aided the offensive effort with 37 assists. Askew and Metzler also led the defense with 12 digs apiece.
The Wolf Pack (5-8, 2-4 SSAC) will remain at home to face conference opponent Brenau University tomorrow, September 20 at 2 p.m. in The Den.
