(New Orleans, La.) Loyola University New Orleans volleyball fought hard but ultimately fell to Faulkner University (20-10, 10-7 SSAC) in four sets this afternoon 25-20, 18-25, 18-25, 22-25.
Senior Lauren Brand drove the Pack on offense with 15 kills on a .319 hitting percentage, while junior Eva Allen tallied 11 in the loss. Freshman Keyanna Gayden also came up strong on offense with nine kills on a .500 attacking percentage. Senior Becca Burnett led the defensive effort with 20 digs, while sophomore Katie Philippi added 15. Sophomore setter Daniela Leal notched 37 assists on the day.
Junior Sarah Stout-Dubberly and sophomore Alysa Klassen headed the Eagles on offense with 14 kills apiece. Freshman Jordan Jones aided the offensive effort with 20 assists, while senior Morgan Wilson finished with 17. Senior Lindsey Ortner drove the defense with 15 digs, and freshman Cassie Bailie added 13.
The Wolf Pack (11-17, 5-11 SSAC) will return to action on Monday, November 3 at 7 p.m. when they take on cross-town rival Xavier University in The Den. This will mark the final home game for the Pack this season, and Loyola will honor its three seniors at the match.
