(New Orleans, La.) Loyola University New Orleans volleyball downed Southern University at New Orleans (SUNO) tonight in five sets in a back-and-forth battle 22-25, 25-23, 21-25, 25-18, 16-14.
Senior Lauren Brand and junior Eva Allen drove the Pack's offensive effort with 21 kills apiece, marking a career-high for Allen. Sophomore Daniela Leal had an impressive match, finishing the night with 56 assists, two shy of her career record. Leal also added eight kills on a .438 hitting percentage. Senior Becca Burnett posted a career-high 40 digs in the win.
Junior Adriana Titonea led the Knights (15-8) offensively with 19 kills, while senior Christal Hollins added 15. Senior setter Stephanie Buhl aided the offense with 57 assists, and junior libero Ana Privrat led the defense with 31 digs.
The Wolf Pack (8-11) will return to action Friday, October 10 at 7 p.m. in The Den to take on conference leader No. 24 College of Coastal Georgia.
