(Jackson, Miss.) Loyola University New Orleans volleyball came from behind and defeated conference opponent Belhaven University (9-10, 1-7 SSAC) tonight in five sets 18-25, 25-23, 25-19, 23-25, 15-11.
Junior Eva Allen shined on offense with 14 kills, while senior Tiffany Walker compiled a career-high 13 kills on the night. Freshman Keyanna Gayden added seven kills in the win. Senior Becca Burnett drove the defensive effort with 26 digs, while sophomore Daniela Leal contributed a career-high 18. Burnett also had three service aces, and Leal finished the night with 38 assists.
Junior Molly Boyer and freshman Blaykleigh Smythe led the Blazers on offense with 13 kills each. Junior libero Jackie Rhyne compiled 29 digs on the night, while freshman Kelly Aholt and senior Alyson Plyler topped the assist category with 22 and 15 apiece.
The Wolf Pack ( 7-10, 3-5 SSAC) will travel to Montgomery, Ala. to take on conference foe Faulkner University tomorrow, October 4 at 2 p.m.
