(Dalton, Ga.) Loyola University New Orleans volleyball came up short against the Dalton State College Roadrunners (9-7, 6-4 SSAC) tonight in five sets 17-25, 20-25, 25-22, 25-22, 12-15.
Junior Eva Allen finished the night with 16 kills, while senior Lauren Brand added eight. Sophomore setter Daniela Leal aided the offensive effort with 35 assists. Leal also led the Pack in digs with 17, while freshman Elizabeth Scioneaux and senior Becca Burnett notched 16 and 15, respectively.
Freshman Anna Metzler led the Roadrunners on offense with 15 kills, and senior Alyne Bianchi garnered eight. Metzler and junior setter Michala Askew compiled 13 digs apiece, and Askew finished the night with 45 assists. Junior Kianna Delaney contributed four service aces.
The Wolf Pack (9-13, 4-8 SSAC) will remain on the road and travel to Gainesville, Ga. to face conference competitor Brenau University and non-conference opponent Truett-McConnell College tomorrow, October 18 at 10 a.m. CDT and 12 p.m. CDT, respectively.
