(New Orleans, La.) Loyola University New Orleans volleyball downed the Brewton-Parker College Barons (2-17, 0-11 SSAC) in three straight sets this afternoon 25-13, 25-8, 25-16.
Junior Eva Allen tallied 14 kills on a .545 hitting percentage in the win, while senior Lauren Brand added 11 kills on a .556 hitting percentage. Sophomore Katie Philippi and senior Becca Burnett drove the defensive effort with 10 digs apiece. Philippi also finished the day with three service aces, while sophomore setter Daniela Leal compiled 28 assists in the win.
Senior Ricka Rose led the Barons on offense with eight kills. Fellow senior Desiree Kendrick led the defense with 12 digs, while senior setter Megan Forrest contributed 12 assists on the day.
The Wolf Pack (9-12, 4-7 SSAC) will travel to Georgia for a conference weekend October 17-18 to face Dalton State College and Brenau University.
