(New Orleans, La.) Loyola University New Orleans volleyball fell to the College of Coastal Georgia Mariners (18-1, 10-0 SSAC) tonight in three sets 14-25, 22-25, 23-25.
Junior Eva Allen led the Wolf Pack on offense with 13 kills, while sophomore Wren Overesch added seven. Senior Becca Burnett and sophomore Katie Philippi drove the defensive effort with 11 digs and 10 digs, respectively. Sophomore setter Daniela Leal aided the offense with 25 assists on the night.
Freshman Maddie Bounds led the Mariners offensively with 11 kills on a .400 hitting percentage, while sophomore Allie Shannon garnered 10 kills on the night. Freshman Jennifer Johnson compiled 14 digs, while sophomore setter Cayley Meiners finished the night with 28 assists.
The Pack (8-12, 3-7 SSAC) will resume action tomorrow, October 11 at 2 p.m. in The Den as they take on conference opponent Brewton-Parker College.
