(New Orleans, La.) The Loyola University New Orleans volleyball team fell to Southern University New Orleans (3-6) 29-31, 19-25, 19-25 in their home opener on Wednesday evening.
Sophomore Kate Hamilton steadied the offense with a career high 10 kills. Senior Sabrina Stansberry and sophomore Eva Allen aided the offensive effort with seven apiece. Freshman setter Daniela Leal recorded 30 assists. The team collectively served up eight aces.
Zipporah Washington tallied 18 kills for SUNO. Delores Tyler recorded 13 on 22 attempts for a .545 hitting percentage.
