Chicago Ill.- The Loyola University New Orleans volleyball team opened the season with a pair of victories at the Illinois Tech Tournament Friday.
In the first match, the Wolf Pack defeated Concordia of Ann Arbor 25-15, 25-8, 25-15. Katie Hamilton led the attack with seven kills. Lauren Brand, Sabrina Stansberry, and Kailey Tuthill each had five. Sam Worsham had four aces, 17 digs, and two blocks which was paced the 'Pack in each of the categories respectively.
In the second match of the day, Tuthill had a team high five aces, while adding six kills in a 25-21, 25-17, 25-17 victory over Calumet College of St. Joseph's. Hamilton, Brand, and Shelby Plant also had six kills each to aid in the attack.
The tourney concludes for the 'Pack with Loyola taking on Purdue University Calumet at 11 a.m. and host Illinois Tech at 1 p.m.
