New Orleans, La - Loyola University New Orleans volleyball team defeated Faulkner University 25-11, 25-19, 25-14 in a Southern States Athletic Conference match Saturday night in The Den.
The Pack (12-5, 4-5 SSAC) has won three out of their last four matches. Freshman outside hitter Lauren Brand paved the way offensively, recording 11 kills, while Katie Hamilton added nine. Defensively, junior middle blocker Sabrina Stansberry and Hamilton each tabbed three blocks at the net, and sophomore libero Becca Burnett notched 12 digs on the night.
Faulkner (5-12, 1-8 SSAC) has now lost five of their last six matches. The Lady Eagles' defense was led by Anna Deramus who had 15 digs, and Elissa Cargil led the attack with five kills.
Loyola wraps up the home stand with a non-conference tilt against Tougaloo Tuesday night in The Den. Match time is slated for 7 p.m. The Wolf Pack will travel across town on Wednesday to face Xavier at 7 p.m.
