Jason Quigley joined the Loyola Athletics staff in October of 2017 as an Athletic Communications Intern and now serves as the Assistant Sports Information Director and play-by-play broadcaster.
After calling just baseball games for Loyola's baseball team the first two years, Quigley became the lead play-by-play commentator for all Wolf Pack home events during the 2019-20 season, including baseball, volleyball, swimming, and men's and women's basketball. He continued to call home games and assist with game day production when Loyola Athletics partnered with broadcast provider Varsity Sports Now in 2022.Â
Quigley has also served in a variety of different roles on game days during his time with Loyola outside of broadcasting, including public address announcing, inputting and calling statistics, keeping official score books, operating the scoreboard, and taking photos for the school's athletics website.Â
In addition to game operations, he also has written hundreds of game recaps and other press releases, plus content management for LoyolaWolfPack.com and Wolf Pack social media. During the 2018-19 season, he produced the video series "Pack Chat," a series of 30 videos which aimed to get to know Loyola's student-athletes.Â
Quigley graduated from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette in 2017, earning a Bachelor's degree in Broadcasting with a minor in English. While in Lafayette, he worked as a student assistant with the Ragin' Cajuns sports information department from 2014-2017. He played similar utility role on game days at UL, which included writing game recaps for the men's and women's tennis programs.Â
