Competed in four indoor meets and eight outdoor meets... Southern States Athletic Conference indoor results: ninth place in the mile (4 minutes, 34.48 seconds)... SSAC outdoors: 11th in the 1,500-meter run (4:12.92)... His season bests, both outdoors, included 2:05.32 in the 800 and 4:02.44 in the 1,500... Personal:
A native of Beach City, Texas, he prepped at Barbers Hill High School under coach Cody Knight... A decorated distance runner, Gibson was a Texas State Championship qualifier in 2024, earning First Team All-District honors multiple times in both cross country and track... He helped set the school record in the 4x1600 relay and holds personal bests of 4:29 in the 1600, 9:39 in the 3200, and 15:40 in the 5K... He also qualified for the USATF National Cross Country Championship and the AAU 5K National Championship, earning silver medals at both the USATF Junior Olympics Gulf Region and AAU Southwestern Region meets... Academically, Gibson was named to the Academic All-District Team every year of high school, while also twice earning his team’s Leadership Award...
