2025 (Freshman):
Competed in all six meets this season… SSAC All-Freshman Team… Ran a season-best 8K time of 27:01.49 at the SSAC Championship in November, finishing in 16th place… Placed fifth at the Loyola Triangular in September with an 8K time of 27:12.8… Placed 18th against mostly NCAA competition at the Nicholls State Invitational with a four-mile time of 22:15.2.

Personal:
A native of Beach City, Texas, he prepped at Barbers Hill High School under coach Cody Knight... A decorated distance runner, Gibson was a Texas State Championship qualifier in 2024, earning First Team All-District honors multiple times in both cross country and track... He helped set the school record in the 4x1600 relay and holds personal bests of 4:29 in the 1600, 9:39 in the 3200, and 15:40 in the 5K... He also qualified for the USATF National Cross Country Championship and the AAU 5K National Championship, earning silver medals at both the USATF Junior Olympics Gulf Region and AAU Southwestern Region meets... Academically, Gibson was named to the Academic All-District Team every year of high school, while also twice earning his team’s Leadership Award...
