Ryan Brock joins the Loyola coaching staff for his first season as men's basketball assistant coach after an illustrious playing career with the Wolf Pack.

Brock averaged 21.1 points, 4.4 rebounds, 2.9 assists and 1.7 steals per game in three seasons with Loyola from 2008 through 2011. For his efforts, he earned NAIA All-American Honorable Mention honors in 2008-09, NAIA All-American Third Team honors in 2009-10 and NAIA All-American Second Team honors in 2010-11. He led the Pack in points, rebounds, assists and steals, and was named the SSAC Conference Divisional Player of the Year his senior season. Brock was the conference leading scorer in all three seasons with Loyola, and twice ranked in the top ten in the nation. He finished his playing career with 1,706 total points, making him the 2nd all-time leading scorer in Wolf Pack history.

Brock played professionally for the Al-Ahli Sports Club in the Qatar First Division in 2012-13. He averaged 19.6 points, six rebounds, five assists and 2.3 steals in five games with Al-Ahli.

After his time in Qatar, Brock worked with Fundamental Athletic Skills Training (F.A.S.T.) in New Orleans. Some of his duties with F.A.S.T. included training and mentoring the youth participants, coaching an AAU basketball team, recruiting potential candidates to join the program and scheduling AAU tournaments and daily practice routines. In addition to his work with F.A.S.T., Brock has been a coach and camp counselor for the New Orleans Pelicans Summer Hoops camps since 2007.

Brock is a New Orleans native and a 2005 graduate of Brother Martin High School. He helped lead the Crusaders to two state championships and was twice named to the Class 5A All-State Team.
