Biography

Pre-Loyola:
A native of the Baton Rouge metropolitan area, she graduated from St. John High School in Plaquemine, Louisiana, where she danced under coach Pam Mechana... Berthelot was a four-year letterman with the St. John Eaglettes, serving as captain in 2024-2025 and earning American All-Star recognition that same year... She received the Eaglettes Coaches Award in 2024 and the Co-Captain’s Award in 2025... Also a four-year letterman on the girls golf team, she served as captain her senior year and advanced to the state tournament twice... Berthelot graduated with honors through dual enrollment, maintaining above a 3.0 GPA, and earned a Superior rating at the Louisiana State Literary Rally for a classical voice solo... She was a third-place finalist and scholarship recipient in the George Rodrigue Foundation Songwriting Contest in 2025 and represented her school as a delegate at both the Louisiana Youth Seminar and Louisiana Girls State.

Majoring in political science... Born March 7, 2007... Daughter of Christy Diez Martinez and Brandon Berthelot... Favorite athlete is Scottie Scheffler... Enjoys golf, playing, listening to, and composing music, political writing and research, and civic community involvement, including serving as a Page at the Louisiana State Senate... Says something that might surprise people is that she plays drums and guitar, and she started her band at 11 years old. She will be playing drums with the Jazz Ensemble at Loyola.
