Rickey Hill entered into his fifth season with the Wolf Pack in 2020-21. He joined the program in 2016 with over 30 years of cheerleading and dance experience at both the small college and NCAA Division I levels.

In addition to being the head coach for the Wolf Pack, Hill also serves as the Chair of the Southern States Athletic Conference for competitive cheer and dance and is the 2nd Vice President of the NAIA Competitive Cheer Coaches Association. He was also chosen as one of the members of the SFE (Striving for Equality) Place Committee, which was launched in August of 2020 by the SSAC in response to racial and social injustices in America.

Under Hill's leadership, the Wolf Pack have never lost the SSAC Competitive Dance Championship, winning the conference title in four straight seasons from 2017-20. Loyola has also earned a trip to the NAIA Competitive Dance National Championships in four consecutive seasons. Most recently, the team finished eighth at nationals, the best finish in program history. In total, four Loyola dance student-athletes have earned NAIA All-America honors.

Loyola's cheer team has continued to improve under Hill, as the program earned its first bid to the NAIA National Championships in 2020 before the season was cut short due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Prior to coming to Loyola, Hill was the Spirit Coordinator at Virginia Tech from 2004-13. Hill rebuilt a program within six years that featured 63 cheerleaders and 30 dancers while with the Hokies. With Hill in command, both Virginia Tech cheerleading and dance teams competed annually in the NCA/NDA National Championship Finals in Daytona Beach, Fla.

Hill also gained extensive coaching experience as the head cheerleading and dance coach at Methodist University, James Madison University, the University of Virginia and Winthrop University. In all four of these stops, Hill led each program to the College Cheerleading & Dance National Championships. While at James Madison, his team won the 1996 Division I NCA National Championship and took second place at the Grand Championship.

Along with his experience in coaching at the collegiate level, he choreographed numerous routines for high school, all-star, college and semi-professional cheerleading and dance teams from across the country. He has instructed for the NCA College Staff, COA, ECA, Cheer LTD, and judged numerous competitive cheer and dance competitions throughout the United States, Canada and Australia.
